Wink Platform is a global social network connecting millions of people, including teens, who want to make new friends online.
On Wink Platform, your safety is one of our top priorities. This guide explains how to protect your personal information, report issues, and make the most of your experience while staying safe.
To help address the risks associated with being online, we’ve built robust security measures into Wink Platform and created Teen Safety Guide (the “ Teen Guide”).

You must be 18 or older to use Wink.
Follow our Community Guidelines.
Enter your real age when you sign up. If you are under 18, you’ll be matched with a community of people your own age.
These rules set out what is acceptable on Wink Social and what is not. By following them, you help create a positive, respectful space for everyone.
Report anything that worries you.
We are here to help.
Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Our team is here 24/7 to review reports and take action.

Bullying.
Bullying is never okay. It can have a serious impact. All users should respect each other. If you experience or witness bullying, report it so we can take action.
Inappropriate Contact.
Unfortunately, some adults create fake profiles to target young people. We have a verification in place. But sometimes they can trick our technology. Watch for these warning signs:
- They quickly try to form an intense friendship.
- They refuse to send live photos to verify their personality.
- They offer gifts or compliment your appearance.
- They talk about sex or ask for sexual photos.
- They insist you keep your friendship a secret.
- They push you to meet in person.
If you’re concerned about someone, talk to an adult you trust and report it to us. Remember, if someone contacts you inappropriately, it is not your fault.
Be Respectful.
We have zero tolerance for bullying or harassment.
Think Before You Post.
The internet is forever. Never share anything you wouldn’t want others to see. Sharing explicit photos will result in your account being closed.
Trust Your Instincts.
If something feels off — like a profile seems fake or someone is making you uncomfortable — report it immediately.
Be Yourself.
The best friendships start with honesty.
Stay Positive.
Being a teen isn’t always easy, but it’s better with supportive friends. If you ever feel unsafe or overwhelmed, talk to a trusted adult and contact us right away.
Sign-Up Protections
From the moment a user creates a Wink Platform profile, our safeguards are in place:
- Phone Verification: Users must enter a real phone number and a verification code.
- Captcha: To prevent bots, all users complete a captcha challenge.
- Real Identity Requirements: Users must provide their real name, date of birth, gender, country, and a clear photo showing their face.
- Users have to be Verified to be able to interact with other users. In order to get verified, the user must have a clear photo of a face in the profile and pass a real video verification flow.
Profile Preferences
Users control who they see and who can see them:
- Gender Preferences: Users can choose to connect with males, females, or everyone.
- Location Limits: Users may choose to connect with people worldwide or just in their country. Searching by city or state is not allowed.
- Age Range: Users set the age range of friends they’d like to meet. Only people within this range can view their profile.
Content Scanning Technology
Every photo uploaded and text posted is scanned using advanced technology to detect:
- Content that is impersonating someone you are not;
- Poor-quality or photos where your face is not visible;
- No Snapcodes, Snap or other social network usernames
- A depiction of violence & harm;
- Terrorist content;
- Harassment and discrimination;
- Bullying and sharing offensive materials;
- Advertising and solicitation;
- Illegal content and dangerous products (weapons, drugs, etc.).
- Sexually explicit content.
- Flagged images are deleted immediately, and accounts posting restricted content are permanently banned.
24/7 Human Moderation
Our team of moderators manually reviews all inappropriate content that technology may miss. Moderators remove violating content and ban offending users.
User Reporting Tools
We empower users to help keep the community safe:
- Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner of a profile or conversation.
- Select Report User and describe the concern.
- Our team investigates every report.
